I live in Brevard, North Carolina, run a small business, and am raising three kids. I coach men who are carrying a lot at work and at home and want to show up better in both.
After Clemson I worked as an Outward Bound field instructor, leading twenty and thirty day canoe trips. I watched people grow when they had a real challenge, clear expectations, room to make their own calls, and someone steady beside them. People change by living something more than by hearing it explained. That is still how I coach.
Later, real estate and building my company, Listings in Motion, put me next to people making big decisions under pressure. Good leadership turned out to be practical: listen carefully, make the next step clear, and do not add noise.
Why I coach men
I drifted for a long time
For about twelve years I was in the house, but I wasn’t all there. I came back, just in a different way than I expected: sitting still every day, a lot of listening and reading, and working with my hands. Coming back took small practices I could use on an ordinary Tuesday. Those practices became the course, and coaching is how I help other men use them.
What I believe is simple. Being a man means being present, and not being run by the culture or by what other people think of you.
When I am not working I am usually fixing or building something, lifting kettlebells, riding a mountain bike trail, fishing, or taking my Trail 125 somewhere the road gets smaller.
Straight answers
What I will do, and what I will not.
ON A CALL
Coach what is real
We work on the situation you bring, the practice for the week, and the one thing you commit to. I will ask about the part you did not bring up.
MY LIMITS
Not a therapist
I do not have a clinical title and I will not pretend to. If something needs counseling or medical care, I will tell you plainly and help you find the right person.
YOUR STORY
Stays between us
I never share your name or anything you tell me without your written permission. The coaching agreement spells out the few legal exceptions.

Tell me a little about where you are. If coaching is not the right fit, I will say so and point you to something that is.
